How we make money

The short answer, as of July 19, 2026: we don't. Here is exactly what that means.

Today

• No ads. There is no advertising anywhere on the site.
• No affiliate links. Every vendor link on this site is a plain, untagged link with no tracking or referral parameters. We earn nothing when you click one or buy something afterward.
• No vendor payments. No vendor pays to be tracked, listed, or ranked — none of them has any commercial relationship with us at all.

Running costs are paid out of pocket. If that ever changes — ads, an affiliate program, anything — this page and the privacy policy will be updated before it appears on the site.

Commitments that hold either way

• Paid relationships would never affect per-isopod prices, leaderboard order, rankings, or which vendors appear. Every number on this site is produced by the same automated collection and normalization pipeline described in the methodology, and is never edited by hand.
• Every vendor gets identical treatment — same daily collection, same per-isopod math, same classification rules — whether or not they ever pay us anything.
• Accuracy comes first. A wrong number is worse than no number, which is why listings whose group size can't be verified are shown as group prices and excluded from per-isopod stats rather than guessed.
